Happy Tuesday! We hope you had a lovely long weekend!

We are over halfway through the book, how are you enjoying it? What types of books would you like to see for future book clubs?

Questions for Week Three:
In one of the cusps, Len Magellan, dies and gives everything to the dog's home to get back at his ungrateful children. Do you feel this was the right thing to do? or was it heartless on his part?

How do you feel about dating coworkers?

Do you feel that Daniel was too soft on Justine when she was exposed for changing the horoscopes? Would it be different if it were someone else who had done what Justine did?

Maybe I'm a horrible person, but I thought it was great that Len doesn't leave his fortune to his children. Maybe a bit harsh, though. Perhaps he could have left them a little something more than some furniture? The family seemed pretty dysfunctional all around, but they definitely should have worked on the relationship if they wanted the money. Maxing out credit cards to start living the future lifestyle they imagined they would have is also all on them. Not smart.

Dating coworkers is usually a terrible idea, especially if you're not at an equal level in the workplace.

Daniel was pretty soft on Justine when he found out about the horoscopes. I think he may have treated someone else the same way, though. He's a pretty personable guy, and, like with Justine, if he values them as an employee, he wouldn't want to lose them.

I felt the same way. I think Len's family brought their fate on themselves. They were selfish and didn't care about Len. I was shocked he gave them anything at all. I loved that Len left everything to the dog's home and was able to save Brown Houdini-Malarky. I felt so bad for Brown, he had some anger problems, but I don't blame him, especially when he was mistreated so often. I couldn't believe that Len's daughter actually laughed and was happy when he passed. I don't think they deserved anything.

I always thought dating coworkers was a bad thing, I never really thought about it on a certain level though. I guess it would be ok if you were both equal, but it does make it uncomfortable. Like Justine, I wouldn't know how to act or take things. I would over think them like she did.

I wasn't sure what to think about Daniel. I wouldn't want to be in that situation. It would be a very tough decision. I think you might be right though, about how he is personable. He treats everyone with respect and understanding.

I agree! I was happy for the dog shelter, but at the same time, sad that his kids got nothing at all....he might have left his grandson money for schooling! Never date coworkers! Not a good idea! And, wow! I knew she was going to get caught! Lucky break he let her off easy! I hope that isnt going to be held against her later to do a favor for him or something...
